PhotoBlog : A Taste of the Maasai Mara

My first taste of safari was 15 years ago, when I visited the Serengeti in Tanzania. At the time I was surprised to discover how much I loved it. Bouncing in the back of a jeep; spotting animals you normally see behind bars at the zoo, but with complete freedom; it is absolutely wonderful and you never know what animal encounters you will have. The Maasai Mara game park also did not disappoint, I was very lucky and saw lions and cheetahs lazing in the sun; my favourite on this trip, very photo genetic zebras; inquisitive elephants; the tail end of the wildebeest migration; plus many more. I took a gazillion photos, which I happy to say are heaps better than my first safari where most animals were just dots, but have since upgraded to a camera with a good zoom. Enjoy my photo blog, a taste of the Maasai Mara.
